Hallo Freunde!
Und wieder war ich seit dem vorherigen
Newsletter nicht untätig, sondern ich habe vielmehr weiter an der Promotion
gearbeitet. Wobei das natürlich immer ziemlich zäh ist, weil es einfach ungleich
schwerer ist, eine Fanbase ohne Liveauftritte aufzubauen. Aber wer weiß,
vielleicht gibt's ja irgendwann auch mal Planet Crown on stage, who knows das
schon?
Inzwischen setze ich darauf, das
vorhandene Liedgut einfach noch breiter zu streuen. So habe ich den
"Circles"-Song "You won't fool me" nun auch auf den Portalen "clickmymusic" und
"cycast" zum Anhören und zum Download bereitgestellt sowie den Titel "I wanted"
bei track4. Auch bei "youmix", wo ich bislang nur einen "Fuß in der Tür" hatte,
hatte ich diese drei Titel hochgeladen, aber youmix hat sich mittlerweile sang-
und klanglos verabschiedet (was für ein Musikportal eine Schande ist und
hoffentlich nicht im Zusammenhang mit meinen Uploads steht).
Außerdem habe ich Planet Crown bei
digitalsounds registriert. Mal gucken, wie "Farewell" und "You won't fool me" da
so angenommen werden.
Dann gibt's da ein neues Portal namens
"roccatune", das sehr vielversprechend klingt. Dort habe ich das komplette Album
"Circles" zum Anhören bereit gestellt. Dann muss man es nicht gleich für teuer
Geld kaufen ;-)
Natürlich gehen auch die Arbeiten am neuen
Album weiter. Wobei - ich sagte es wohl schon - "Arbeit" eigentlich nicht passt,
dazu macht es einfach zu viel Spaß und ist zu entspannend.Wie dem auch sei:
Inzwischen sind 13 neue Songs fertig, Nr. 14 ist in Arbeit. Ich mache diesmal
einfach weiter, d.h., ich höre nicht bei 13 oder 14 auf, also wenn es etwa
genügend Songs sind, um ein Album mit einer knappen Stunde Spieldauer
vollzubekommen. Ich arbeite dann einfach schon mal vor.
Bei der Band Organic Alliance habe ich
mich dagegen ausgeblendet. Wir kriegten seit Jahren nichts mehr auf die Reihe,
und auch das "letzte Aufbäumen", d.h. unsere letzte Studiosession bei Volker vor
ein paar Wochen blieb ein Einzelfall. Keiner von uns - und da schließe ich mich
natürlich ein - hatte letztlich genug Interesse, um hier am Ball zu bleiben oder
den Motor zu machen. Vielleicht hätte das noch was gebracht, aber ich glaub's
eigentlich nicht. Ich glaube eher, die Band hatte ihre Zeit, und die ist -
zumindest was mich betrifft - jetzt einfach vorbei.
Das soll's erst mal wieder gewesen
sein.

My dear friends,
again, since the last newsletter I was not idle, but I have worked on
the promotion. That is of course pretty tough, because it's simply much harder
to build a fanbase without any live performances. But maybe one day Planet Crown
will be on stage, who knows ...
Meanwhile, I simply try to spread the existing songs even wider.
So now the song "You won't fool me" is also available on the portals
"clickmymusic" and "cycast", just to listen to and for downloads as well. "I
wanted" is now available also on "track4". These songs were also on "youmix",
but they closed down without saying a word.
I also registered at "digitalsounds". Let's see if "Farewell" and
"You won't fool me" will show some impact.
Then there is a new and rather promising portal, named "roccatune".
There I uploaded the complete album "Circles", so you can try before buy, but
not download any song.
Of course, also the work on my new album goes on - whereas "work" is
not the right term, it's too much fun an too relaxing. However: meanwhile 13
songs are finished, number 14 is in progress. I guess, this time I just go on
producing songs and I won't stop when I have got 13 or 14 songs, or a playtime
of an hour or so. When I don't need all the produced songs now, I can probably
use them for my third CD.
Last but not least: I terminated my work with the Band Organic
Alliance. We didn't get anything straight in the past few years, and also our
last try, our last session in Volker's studio did not revive anything. I think
no one of the band - and that , of course, includes me - had at last enough
interest to play the engine, to push the rest of us. Maybe that would have
changed something, but to be honest I don't think so. I believe that there is a
time for everything. And the time for Organic Alliance is over, at least as far
as I am concerned.
